Nareenetra Karupanya, an ISO-certified, women-led, multifaceted brand from rural Netrakona, a district of central Bangladesh strives to create a space of comfort, independence, and confidence for disadvantaged but trained rural women, where their strength, creativity, and innovation establishes a state-of-art production line-up.
In the past 16 years, Nareenetra Karupanya has collaborated with at least 100 national and international clients, producing millions of units of customized products as per demand.
Nareenetra Karupanya produces high-quality products at minimal costs, capitalizing on the talent, skills, and artistic creativity of trained rural women and dreams to uplift and empower women of this region, transforming lives through meaningful employment and skill development.
Establishment
In 2008, Nareenetra Karupanya was established by a visionary woman entrepreneur, Kamrunnahar Lipi. Starting with only one borrowed sewing machine, the venture has grown to directly support over 150 people and indirectly serve the livelihoods of around 6,500 people.
Mission, Vision, and Goals
- Nareenetra Karupanya’s mission is to ensure the economic empowerment of underprivileged, backward, and marginalized women of Netrakona and Bangladesh by providing them with practical and vocational training through which they can create opportunities for self-employment and skill development.

The head office of Nareenetra Karupanya is located in Anantapur Mouja of Netrakona Sadar Upazila, Netrakona, only three kilometers south of the town.

Infrastructure and Production Line-up
Every piece that leaves our production floor is a testament to the talent, commitment, and meticulous craftsmanship of our exceptional team.
Our focus on quality is unwavering. From selecting the finest fabrics and raw materials to employing advanced eco-friendly and energy-saving production techniques, we ensure that each piece of our production meets the highest standards.
We have three dedicated factories, covering almost 7000 square feet of space with a production lineup of advanced, eco-friendly, and energy-saving pieces of machinery. 150 employees can work at a time in the factories.
Sustainability and Ethical Practices
The factories are established following the building codes and other safety measurements and prioritize ethical, eco-friendly, and environmentally conscious manufacturing. All the three factories are surrounded by greeneries.
We are always conscious of the environmental impacts and fair labor practices. We ensure fair wages, safe working environments, and enough personal space for our employees.

We have 150+ well-trained, multi-talented, creative, and innovative employees in our production line-up and 99% of them are women.

Shreshtha Joyeeta (2014)
In 2014, Kamrunnaher Lipi, the founder of Nareenetra Karupanya was awarded the ‘Shreshtha Joyeeta Award’ in the ‘Joyeeta Anweshone Bangladesh’ initiative by the Department of Women Affairs, securing first place in the economic category at the divisional level in Dhaka Division.
Maitree Award (2021))
During the Bangladesh-India Friendship Conference in 2021, held in celebration of Mujib Year and the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh’s Victory, she was honored with the Maitree Award (2021).
Sheikh Hasina Youth Volunteer Award (2022)
In 2022, Kamrun Nahar Lipi won the Sheikh Hasina Youth Volunteer Award (2022), a very prestigious national award in Bangladesh to recognize and uplift youth bodies’ participation in philanthropic and voluntary actions.
